LUBA 2: mower shuts off and stops responding to the power button after a firmware update

Models covered
LUBA 2
Last updated
5 September 2026
Exact firmware version not confirmed. The report refers only to "the last update (two weeks ago)," without a version string — documented as-is rather than guessing which release it was.
We checked Mammotion's own KB2 for LUBA 2: as of this report's date (5 September 2026), the most recent published release was still 1.30.29.8 (31 July 2026) — over five weeks earlier, not two. Nothing in the official notes lines up with "two weeks ago," and no release matching "the same day" (5 September 2026) is published either. We could not confirm which update this report refers to.

What happened

A LUBA 2 returned to its charging dock, shut off, and stopped responding to the power button entirely — no way to turn it back on — roughly two weeks after a firmware update installed (unknown version)1. A newer firmware update released the same day this was captured (5 September 2026); whether it's related to this issue or fixes it is unconfirmed.

Why this is worth documenting even without a version number

This is the same "update wrecked my mower" pattern this site tracks — a dated report of a firmware update leaving a mower completely unresponsive, not just misbehaving. If your LUBA 2 has gone silent after a firmware update and won't power back on, this is a known prior report, even without an exact version to name.

If you can pin an exact firmware version to this behavior, or you know whether the update released the same day resolved it, let us know so this page can carry real version numbers and a confirmed outcome instead of an open report.
